It looks like the first two Metal Gear Solid games are coming to PC

It’s been a long time coming, but it looks like Konami has gotten around to addressing the long absence of Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 on PC. According to new ratings on the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee website (via Gematsu), the original MSX game Metal Gear is on its way, as are Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance.

It won’t mark the first time Metal Gear Solid and its sequel have been playable on PC. Both released in the early 2000s, but have become virtually unplayable thanks to their absences on digital storefronts. As for what Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is, that’s what the eventual PC (and Xbox) port of the game was called, and it also introduced a bunch of new content and improvements.
